I don't think I am the only one wondering what this is.

I used Supreme's Tommy's Tie for years with great success. Not the sort of trick I'd use now though. Is that what you are talking about?

Well, Tommy's Tie is a routine where a chosen bow tie disappears and reappears on neck of a picture of a schoolboy. You can find a full description of it in 'Edwins Magic Vol.2'.
The artwork on the original would be outdated by today's standards. I'm not sure if another company has updated it. It's probably not even what the author of this thread was talking about.

There are plenty of better versions of disappearing and reappearing back on the character or prop.
Forgetful Freedy, flito flower and the pearl trick are all much better imo! M:C |

Tommy's Tie, as released by Supreme was based on an effect by John Booth, originally published, I think, in Marvels of Mystery.
While the picture of Tommy, as sold by Supreme is somewhat dated by today's standards of dress, you can still use it by stating that it is a picture of a boy when you went to school, or it could be a picture of your uncle when he went to school. I used it for years with a presentation suggested by Eric Sharp and Tony Green. I'm happy to say it completely fooled every magician who saw me present it. |

Dave Risley did it on his "I Like Me" daycare video.

For those who may be interested, this trick is available in a CLOWN version from Hokus Jokus, on eBay. Here's the link with a photo: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tidy-Tie-Clown-Parlo......ViewItem
According to Hokus Jokus, they have 3 available @ $79.99... it's a "buy now" item, no need to bid. Ted |

I have dealt with Hokus Jokus, the eBay seller listed above. I had more than a few transactions with him with no problems, but I think he recently had a death in his family. I have been trying for some time now to get him to answer emails and/or phone calls with no luck. You might want to wait to order anything from him till he starts answering his phone again. This is not a slam on his character by any means. He is just not avilable for business at the moment.
