Hello everyone. I am performing this coming Saturday. I put 3 Card Routines together and scripted them to flow into each other with some good patter.
I want to finish the performance with a coin Vanish and then a $1 Bill Trick. I must do a switch with the spectators dollar and my dollar. I have tried the pocket switch, where I reach in my pocket to look for a pen but actually switch the bill and I retrive a pen with the hand in the other pocket. I then have them sign My bill and their bill is in my pocket. I want to do a simple switch, but prevent the pocket switch. I don't know if palming would work because I can only fold my bill once along the horizontal axis. Any further folding can destroy my setup. What do you guys think would be an easy bill switch, or could you point me in the right direction? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Telling you how to do a bill switch would violate the Café rules.
You must have 50 posts and then you can go to the secrets area and ask for a method. Good luck.

I guess I don't understand the full purpose of the forums. You can only talk so much without sharing technique.
Thanks anyway. I figured I would get at least a recommended e-book or something. |

Has anyone ever questioned during your performance when you make the switch?

What about a Himber? Would that work for you? Plus it is easy to manage.
Or check out the work of Paul Harris. He has a few ideas that might work for you. The routine that has something that might be of use is called "Counterfeit Spectator" and I believe that it can be found in Art of Astonishment Vol. 2. Hope that helps. Corey |

Check out the book Switch by John Lovick. Also I think Jay Sankey has a DVD that he just released this year about the $100 Bill Switch. Those might help if you aren't already on track. Good Luck!

Don't remember where I got this move from many years ago but I had a wand with a small bulldog clip on each end. My end contained my bill and was covered by my hand as I offered the other end to the spec to insert his bill. As I turned around I switched the ends. I have used this switch for many items. It's simple and sure.

Forgot to mention that a Piatt envelope can accomplish the same thing for you.

The wand/clip version is excellent.

Forgot to add that you can now get small bulldog clips that are magnetic. This could offer a few opportunities for the switch "rod".

AS for a source for the bulldog clip idea, the first person I saw do that was David Hoy-later published in his Bold and Subtle miracles.
