That one was just one of my favorites - remember the 'Spock's Brain' episode? What are some of your favorite lines from the old show (guess the movies can count, too!)?
"And now crew, I will render that old Irish aire, "Kathleen", one...more ...time!!!" ("Captain" Reilly) (McCoy) "And please Spock, don't say its fascinating." (Spock) "No, doctor...but it *is* interesting." (Khan) "Time's up - Admiral." (Kirk) "Here it comes." (ST2: The Wrath of Khan)
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Kirk: "Well there it is...war. We didn't want it, but we've got it."
Spock: "Curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want." Errand Of Mercy Kirk: "You're not going to admit that, for the first time in your life, you made a completely emotional decision based on desperation?" Spock: "No, sir." Kirk: "Mister Spock, you're a stubborn man!" Spock: "Yes, sir." The Galileo Seven Spock: "I'm attempting to construct a mnemonic memory circuit, using stone knives and bearskins." The City On The Edge Of Forever My favorites, though, have always been the "I'm a doctor, not a/an... ...moon-shuttle conductor!" The Corbomite Maneuver ...bricklayer." The Devil in the Dark ...psychiatrist." The City on the Edge of Forever ...escalator." Friday's Child ...engineer." To which Montgomery Scott immediately replied, "Now, you're an engineer." Mirror, Mirror ...scientist or a physicist, Mr. Spock..." Metamorphosis ...mechanic." The Doomsday Machine ...flesh peddler." Return to Tomorrow ...magician, Spock." The Deadly Years ...coal miner." The Empath And we can guess who had a hand in programming The Voyager's Doctor, as well... "I'm a doctor, not a/an... ...interior decorator." Phage ...voyeur." Parturition ...engineer." Prototype ...performer." Investigations ...counter-insurgent." Basics, Part II ...bartender." "Twisted ...database." Future's End, Part II ...peeping Tom." Drone ...battery." Gravity ...dragon-slayer." Bliss ...zoo-keeper." Life Line ...engineer." Flesh and Blood During Robert Picardo's audition for the part of The Doctor, the final scripted line for the reading was, "I believe someone has failed to terminate my program." He finished his audition in true McCoy fashion with the ad libbed "I'm a doctor, not a nightlight." |

"What is it with you, anyway?" - McCoy to Kirk, who had just kissed Martia (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)
"I think he did a little too much LDS." - Kirk to Jillian re. Spock (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) "Captain, I protest! I am not a merry man!" - Worf to Picard when the crew was trapped in Q's Sherwood Forest. There are many more ... possibilities. Carrie |

Blindaside - yes, let's all keep it to the old (original) "Star Trek".
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Giliian: "Let me guess. You're from outer space, right?"
Kirk: "No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space." ---- Q: "What do I have to do to prove I'm mortal?!?" Worf: "Die!" Q: "Oh, very funny, Worf. Eaten any good books lately?" ---- Worf: "Be quiet! Or disappear back where you came from!" Q: "I can't disappear, any more than you could win a beauty contest." (Ever notice that Worf and Q are like a bizarre version of Winston Churchill and Lady Astor?) ---- Chang: "'To be or not to be...' That is the question to which preoccupies our people, Captain Kirk. We need breathing room." Kirk: "Earth, Hitler, 1938." |
