Hi all,
I have a school show coming up in October. I don't do a lot of school shows, due to being a PT performer and most school shows occurring during weekdays, when I am at my day job. But anyway, I do have one booked for October, and I wanted to add something to my show for this gig. Right now, my kid's show consists of: Balloon Opener (my own routine with 260's - lots of gags) PB&J Mismade Flag Spring Snake Routine Miser's Dream Bunny Silk TT routine Bunny Silk to Real Bunny Sponge Balls Some basic effects, but good, fun, and interactive routines for everything. This is not the order I do them in, nor do I always use all of these in every show. But this gives you an idea of what effects I am already doing. So I wanted to add an effect for the school show coming up. There will be 100+ kids and the age group is a bit broad, K thru 5th grade. I am not even sure exactly where I want this new effect - probably a middle effect, maybe even an opener. One idea I had was Hang Em High - an effect I have wanted for a while now, and since I have no other rope routines in my show now, I thought it might be a good addition. Thoughts on this effect for a school show? So I want something big enough for a stage, nothing with silks (I already have two routines using silks), something that plays well for a fairly broad age range, and preferably, under $100. Can anyone give me a suggestion that fits that criteria?

I love Knots Funny. It gets a great reaction from the kids. You can see it performed by Jef on www.hocuspocus theatre page.
There are also some good egg bag routines out there that you will be able to perform for almost any age group. Linking rings is another one that lends itself to all ages of audiences. |
