Sean,
What are some of your magic philosophies? Do you have any rules, guiding magical principles -- anything like that? |

CitizenC,
I have an absurd amount of magic philosophy, but there are 2 'cardinal' rules that stand out for me and my magic; singularity and clarity of effect. Clarity of effect is self explanatory; the more crystal clear and direct an effect is, the more effective the actual EFFECT is. Singularity of effect is a bit more, controversial. I firmly believe that each effect should be given it's own 'moment' for the audience to appreciate. More effects does not mean more magic. Both of these rules stem from my appreciation for Vernon's theories of magic. While I could babble on and wax philisophical all day, I will leave it at this. |
