Hello,
I'm looking forward to learning finger exercises to build strengh of the hand but also dexterity and speed. This is mostly for my ball manipulation routine. Sean |

One of my favorite anecdotes comes from when I attended a woodworking tool sharpening class.
One of the attendees asked, "How do I keep my tools from rusting." The instructor snapped, "Use them!" This is how you make your hands stronger. Use them. Everything that we do requires muscle memory. You can make your hands as strong as they will ever get, but, anything new will always seem awkward at first.

You can get one of those " Stress Reliever " things but I agree with Kregg. Strengthen your hands by doing the actual routines. You'll get to strengthen both your hands AND your routine.

You may purchase a 3' acrylic ball and learn a simple palmspin...this is great strengh builder!
(By the way the item itself is beautiful to watch ^^) |

The more you work with the balls - flourishes, techniques and applications, and routining - the more your fingers will strengthen themselves.
I would suggest one method - practise with one size bigger then your actual item. If you are using a 1 3/4" ball, then practise with 2" balls and you find your fingers would stretch more. This helps in the flexibility of the fingers. Also don't forget to keep your hands warm and have lots of blood circulation. Don't practise when your hands or weather is really cold - your fingers may not behave the way you want them to. |

Merci beaucoup! Thank you very much for all the answers.
So I'll continue working on my routine, and warm up my fingers when needed. Again Thanks. Sean |

And do a bit of stretching (of your fingers) too, Sean. It will be useful. Try it

Do repetitions of hand rolls before doing billiard balls.
