Chance now has his New and Improved Balloon Wand on his website. Looks really good and at an excellent price.

Better get them before there all gone!

Can you comment on the reliability of this working 100% as described. I've found working with ballon stuff such as this sometimes requires a short prayer. tj

HI,
Not quite everyone, I would not want something that looked like that in my show!
I would rather just hold them in my hand

Can't comment specifically on the wand (I think it just started shipping), but I have 4 of Wolf's products, and all of them are built solid. Even mechanically complicated devices are sturdily built. Chance doesn't skimp on details, so I'm sure he improved the original product to make it even more reliable.

Tj,
I do not think there has ever been a prop made, in the history of magic. that is 100% reliable...but this is as close as it gets for a balloon trick.
The only problems I would see is someone trying to do this effect outside with wind conditions for obvious reasons. Otherwise it has been engineered to work with no worries and little effort.
This is basically the same as my original version. The main differences are as follows:

1) The "Hand Stand" ( A stand that looked like to hands holding up the wand) has been replaced with a simple Magnetic Base to support the B-Wand. The original "Hand-Stand" involved too much labor and materials which was making it cost prohibitive to produce.

2) The "FLY-AWAY" gimmick was simplified making it MUCH easier to set up and far more reliable.

3) The Houlette was simplified as well. I wanted this to look less like a childrens prop so it would play for adult shows as well. But make no mistake, with a GIANT WAND and 3 GIANT BALLOONS it still remains visually appealing for kids with no doubt.

These changes made it an actual profitable prop. My original design was created back in the beginning when I was trying to blow people away with cool features but forgetting...you need to make some money on the darn things. It ended up not cost effective given the "perceived value".
So, in the end, we still have a fantastic fun rpop at a great price that plays REAL BIG!
I hope this helps and thanks for the support!

I love the design of the new stand. It has a "mature" look, but will definitely play for kids. The design reminds me of the water pistol game at the carnival, where you have to break the balloon by squirting water into a clown's mouth. Great design, Chance.

This is a fantastic-looking prop! Chance is correct (he may have heard the wind story from me) about windy conditions being your only detriment to using it. You also don't want a situation where people (public) will be walking around behind the stage while the prop is set up (one of the festivals I do is like this...) or they'll see the jumbo card there.

I'll have to get one of these, too, so stop talking about it!

I remember when Warren Stephens was named Comedy Card Balloon Tray. I had a lot of fun with it in the 80's. The Balloon Wand looks better than the tray Warren had. Wolf's uses a jumbo card. Plus Wolf's card is out of vision from the start.

The prop is well built and it looks great...and that's an understatement.

The only reason Im selling mine is..."Im scared of popping balloons..." Smile
