I need a way to make something fall in slow motion off a table when bumped. Any ideas of what can be used? For example, a cup is bumped and slowly falls to the floor.

This is a challenging project. I think it is best to discuss it in the 'Secret Session' as this discussion involves secrets revealed. I'll see you there.

In my mind it is sort of difficult to picture exactly what you're trying to do. If you could find an oil-damped device of the proper capacity, this might be of use. Some specific examples are the clamshell calculators that are often received as giveaways, or the tonearm lifters on turntables. You might be able to do the same thing with an air-damped plunger in a cylinder with a valve to adjust the rate of descent.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...
