Reed discussed some about his tattoos once on the phone.
But now... thanks to the author Christopher Priest (he wrote The Prestige) you can read something related. Look up the story: "The Discharge". It's online for a free read here and I can recommend it and his other stories. Currently reading his novel The Glamor.

It's often been my experience that magicians can be catty, reactionary and superficial. However, just as often, they can also be the greatest people you'd ever want to meet.
I choose to judge people individually when I meet them- and knowing full well how often internet communication can be inflammatory and hysterical at times, I try not to use such material as criteria, either... PS- I have tattoos and long hair

Reed's club act is awesome. He took me to one of his gigs at a Seattle Night club a couple years ago, and he rocked the place, Management loved him, the patrons loved him, and I stared in awe(as usual) at his skillful manipulation, and after all that he still drove my drunk ass back to the hotel, what a performer...! Congrats Reed!

20 years ago I worked in a restaurant with a guy that was hired as a waiter. IN the interview he wore long sleeve shirts. Well, the "uniform" was short sleaves. SO, he shows up and his arms are covered in tats. They were going to let him go at the end of the day, but he was so charming and everyone loved him, so he was allowed to stay and in a year became an assistant manager.
