Hi all,

I'm after some advice on how to 'age' cards so that they still retain their double-lift ability. I've tried the tea method - but this seems to make the cards lose their shape and flatness. Any ideas good people?

Best wishes,

Ross

I am not sure of a DIY method but the gypsy deck on this site looks very good

Kiwi brand brown shoe polish gives the cards a mottled and aged appearance but does not destroy the finish on the cards, so they can still be handled normally. (Don't use the tan colored shoe polish; it turns the cards an unpleasant salmon color.) Just apply shoe polish unevenly to the surfaces with a sponge, let it set for a minute, then buff off. Use the buffing cloth to wipe over the edges of the cards so they're not bright white, and -- voila.
