Hello,
In following up on Peter Marucci's (and MANY others')excellent observation that proper credit should be given to the originator of an effect or move whenever a derivitive effect or move is demontrated, published or videotaped, I would like to propose that The Magic Café create a new forum entitled: "Who Invented That?". Then some of the classics of magic and the well-known effects could be posted in the topioc threads and the derivation of the effect could be outlined. For instance, Card Warp. Peter describes who invented this effect, who invented the patter for this effect and who has the publishing rights to this effect. I believe that such a forum could be extremely helpful to the conscientious and ethical performers who want to give credit where credit is due but have no idea where to turn. If this idea caught on, we might even have sub-forum for the specific areas of magic (coins, cards, mentalism, etc) with numerous related "threaded" topics under each of these specific categories of magic (the sub-forums). Just a thought. Turk

A very good thought, and worth some consideration. Thanks.
