Guys, I mistakenly deleted a topic concerning identifying your doves. Since I can't bring it back, I'm quoting as much as I can in this topic
Bob Sanders asked for a web site or contact for numbered leg bands. Dynamike responded with: Quote:
http://www.apogeerockets.com/helicopter_supplies.asp Kyle responded with Quote:
Working with your doves continuously allows you to identify them by character and appearance...then you'd know what bird to use for what production. For example, I have doves that flap really hard and look beautiful. I use them for barehanded productions. Some birds are lazier, use them for fast productions where the bird is seen only for a while My response was Quote:
Kyle, this works if you only have a few birds but Bob has over 100. I have 30 and it would be impossible to tell them apart without some type of leg marking. Dynamike asked Quote:
What Foy sizes are better for a full grown dove, small or medium? Finally, I always use the medium size bands. The small ones are fine for new borns but they quickly grow out of them.

At last, Dave and I have something in common!
Actually, I think the company I was using for numbered bands runs ads in Cage Bird magazine and is called Cardinal. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
