I received mine this morning...seems ok at a glance. I will give a more in depth review once I have played with it. Seems to be good Shufton quality as always, but first thougts are it is very clever. I will go through the manuscript and see how good the routines actually are. It is something you will either use or won't (As all proudcts should be!)

This is good no problem, but I have to be honest and say that I believe Bob Kohler's Black Envelope is a supersior version. They work on the similar but different principals, so they are different. The obvious problem with Shufton's Card Catcher is the envelope is not examinable, and the "move" must be done with some precision. In addition, you need to switch the ungimmicked envelope, which can be done easily.
I love Shufton's products, especially his okito box. But if you own black envelope and you are intent on card to impossible location stick with Kohler's. Shufton's however will allow you to have a card reappear in the envelope when it is shown empty. So there are some advantages to it. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. |

Hi tdowell,
I already ordered card catcher but still waiting for it. Just wonder would it be worthwhile to buy black envelope as well? Is it using some similar princple as art of astonishment? |

There are more options with card catcher because you can have a card appear in the envelope shown empty moments before, so it may be more useful to you. Pretty much everything you can do with Black Envelope, you can do with Card Catcher. The only thing I personally like better with Black Envelope is ditching the BE gaff is easier than trying to switch the Card Catcher envelope. But either can be done with reasonable ease. They are both good. I won't reveal anything about the principals, each is different in method, but the method of pulling the card out is similar in both. |

Just got this- and I must say- I REALLY like this. This is very easy to use and very deceptive. The moves to use the envelope are not hard and can be mastered easily. The envelope is not to large so you can easily put in the back of your pants or front pant pocket so you can switch out to the regular envelope. I think that the visuals on this when a card appears in the envelope and you take it out and show the card is so stunning- you have oodles of time to switch out to the regular envelope. The quality of the envelope is nice and should last a long time with some proper storage and handling care. The routines that come with it are very nice- Steve takes time to properly explain everything to make the effect as good as it can be. For $25.00 I HIGHLY recommend this!
RNK PS- *added bonus* - Steve has AWESOME customer service- seems like a very nice person who is willing to help you if needed! I will buy more of his products.
