Andrew,
this is probably not easy to answer, however - here I go again. How do you see the future of magic and the evolvement of it? Certainly, the internet and affordable technology has and is changing things. Thanks a lot Andy

The future of magic will always be determined by the performers. The hit of Magic Live was Raymond Crowe who did a mix of magic, mime and shadowagraphy. In the age of digital projection, instantaneous computer effects, iPhones, Wii's, etc, he brought the audience to their feet doing shadow puppets.
As magician, our experience of magic is going to change through the way we collaborate. This site is an excellent early example. As we start making use of more bandwidth we'll see more and more people sessioning through video chat, online lectures and tutoring. The problem with a lot of current attempts is that they can't match the experience of seeing a lecturer live. Technology can improve on that by offering an improved efficient intimacy. I'd much rather participate in a video chat lecture with just three other people than travel 50 miles to have a less personal experience with 100 people. Magic's use of the Internet is still 10 years behind everybody else. |

Thanks Andrew,
guess, we are a rather conservative bunch of people . . .
