Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

The end of the world has happened at least 9 times already, so I suggest you go by Pakar Ilusi's suggestion and start dancin'

As a musician, I have the (mis) fortune of seeing people 'dance like no one is watching' ALL the time... Not a pretty sight folks!. Dance to the BEAT people... NOT the syllables of the lyric!!
If it all gets too much I just 'Sing like no one is listening'...... Seems to clear the room pretty quick. |

The only way our world will end is if our governments (they're our employees not masters, remember) don't start pulling together and cooperating for a better tomorrow. Now, return to your homes and worry about having never voted.

The election goes nuts ... Civic violence at the polls and the Canadian army is called in to help protect American citizens .... Violence with the Black Panthers and racism is identified as the key element and Hate Crimes are on the table.... The conservatives fight back as Obama disputes the election results and calls for Marshal Law ... Fatalities between the Canadian troops and Americans escalate to a full blown CIVIL WAR and US troops are called back home to assist in the new revolution.
Al-Qaeda and the other terrorists then attack in northern Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, and they eventually take control of Pakistan ... they launch those Nukes against Israel and start a nuclear WAR ... AND IT'S OVER!!!!!! http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012......e-griev/

In my view, the "future" may well be evolutionary and constantly changing. Think about how the world unfolds for each of us every day. We make plans and they do or do not materialize. The usual reason is that things occur apparently beyond our control. Perhaps the future works the same way, except on a Universal scale. Think of all futures somehow interlinked in ways we cannot begin to perceive. What would happen if you COULD see the future? You would get a snapshot at that moment of time of a potential future. But because of those aforementined inter-relationships, that particular possibility might or might not ultimately play out. So you might end up wrong. I think it is interesting that those more credible examples of research demonstrating precognition and presentiment are always short term. Longer term examples are quite rare, even for those who accept these phenomena. And in this view that make sense. While we don't know the exact nature of these interlinks of potential future states, we might surmise that time has something to do with it or is at least a basic indicator of the degree to which a precognitive thought might change. For this reason, it would follow that very long term predictions - over centuries for example - should almost never be right. And that brings us to Mr. N. If this view is even half-right, Nostradamus should be way off. Of course, it is not lost on this crowd that his writings look for the world like the basis of perhaps the world's biggest retrofitting. At least some of these ideas are testable. We only have to wait a little while!
