I recently found that the office supplies shops 'Staples' over here in the U.K. sells briefcases for only £10.00 I think that's around $15.00 they are great quality and they have the code lock on them as well.
Hope I have found some of you guys out there a bargain! Tom |

Thanks Tom. My briefcase is great to carry my close up act in. It is just the right size. I would recommend anyone that does not have a briefcase to get one.

The ones I like best are only available through eBay and yard sales now. Those are the really good Royal Traveler ones with very heavy aluminum frames. About the only way to stack them is upright. So freight handlers don't put them on the bottoms of the piles and crush them. Good leather cases don't survive as well. I really wish they did.

I have found the brief cases at your local Home depot to be great for carrying props. They are inexpensive and come in silver, black and red. I have a red and black one and they are durable and hold a lot of props. They cost $19.95 each and come with dividers and a shoulder strap.
check them out if your in need of a good case. Chris |

I use to and sometimes still do use a briefcase, but for Christmas I got a Trunk Organizer. It has 3 compartments (card-size) and 2 netted-holsters inside. The lid has 5 or 6 fabricated-compartments (card-size) and 2 lengthy netted-holsters which are are good for storing paper and envelope magic. It has a bottom slot which can fit just about anything that is less than 1 1/2 feet wide and is the length of the organizer from back to front. To the left of this lower compartment, is a slot which contains a bag. Here is where I put my handcuffs, ropes, chains, and other big props. The bag slides in and out of the little hole without restraint. The whole organizer is great to carry a big show in. Either way, I like both the briefcase and the organizer both.

ChrisJ,
I have found those very useful too! Except I use them for photography and microphones. I like them too because they will stack nicely. Bob Magic By Sander |

I went back to Home Depot to look at cases. I could not find them in colors. However I found another black one made of metal for $29.95 that I really like. It is foam filled and comes with a detachable shoulder strap. I like it better than the others because it has smooth lines and rounded corners instead of the sharp ones that my other cases have. It also appears to have stronger hinges.
