A couple of posts recommend "Be-Switched" as a good choice for table hopping. While they mention it's a bill switch, I can't find a source for it.
Who carries it and/or which current book or video teaches it? Thanks for any and all feedback. Ron |

Hi Ron,
Be-Switched is on Michael Ammar's ETMMM volume 2. Very easy effect that you can carry with you at all times! -Zero G |

Thanks for the source Zero.
Ron As a follow-up to my original question regarding Be-Switched: Before I consider spending the money on this video, could someone please describe the switch effect and how it differs in detail from so many others on the market (Visibill, $5 & $1, Metamorphasis Bill, etc)? Is it more effective, magical, cleaner, easier? Thanks again for the knowledgeable responses. Ron |

Be-Switched is different. It has good and bad points.
Good: You do it in the spectator's hand. Very Easy. Instant reset. Bad: Not very clean. It's a cute little trick, not a visible bill switch. |

Ron, if I may, while I like the Ammar series very much, for real world kick butt routine and handling, I would very strongly recommend the trick "Slow Motion Swindle" in the book Brain Food by David Parr. I have put all other bill switches away and use only this one. The expression on people's faces tells it all and you are clean at the finish. Very strong, well thought out handling. Check it out, I think you will like it.

For a similar effect with some interesting improvements (e.g., it can be done with the new bills of any denomination) check out Eugene Burger's Mastering the Art of Magic, p.203, for the 21st Century Bill Transposition (routined with David Parr). It's also covered on the Magical Voyages tapes, if I remember correctly. This is evolved from Slow Motion Bill Change in The Craft of Magic and Other Writings and Burger refers to a handling in Parr's Brain Food. In the newest version, both bills may be freely handled and examined by the spectator, the borrowed bill can be any denomination and both sides are seen as are the performer's otherwise empty hands. It can also be done with some non-US currencies as long as the bills are the same side. His slow motion bill change was a long time fave of mine.

Martini & Bill,
Thank you both for your knowledgable input and detailed resource referals. Just like it says at the opening of the Café website: "Magicians Helping Magicians". |
