I heard this name mentioned on an episode of Derren Brown's Trick of the Mind. I am interested in gathering some information about her life and performances. Is there any books written about her? If so, does anyone know the titles?
Thank you.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure Derren Brown made up that Lillian Keeble "character" for his performance. He (and many other magicians) do this to enhance the story of a particular effect.

I think she does exist. He was talking about her on one other occasion and he mentioned Lulu Hurst, so I believe she would be real. But, yes, I understand that he may have exaggerated his story a little, though, to make his magic more believable.

I've not seen the show, so I'm only going by the name. According to TV.com, the role of Lillian Keeble was played by "herself" on the episode. So unless they're wrong, she must be a real person. However, whether she is/was a proponent of "dexterous vision" is another issue....

It is a routine that Derren Brown does where he divines what is written on a piece of paper by only using the "vision" of his fingertips. He claims this was originally done by a 15-year-old girl, named Lillian Keeble, in the mid-1800s "with flaming red hair", and of course, it's a great story for the laymen and helps to enhance Derren's effect, but... |

Point taken.
I just wished she was real 'cause it would be cool to read about her. Thanks.
