Does success for the contestant's on "Phenomenon" depend on how much danger they put themselves in?
Look at all the variations of roullette. Then there was also Bavli's heart stop, McCambrige's paintball prediction, and Angela's "burned" leg. I guess that's what happens when you mix the intimate, delicate art of mentalism with the fast-paced world of live TV in America. I love what Ehud Segev had to say in his exit statements. VERY intriguing and worth a read: http://www.nbc.com/Phenomenon/about/cont......ew.shtml |

And yet - Super's funny Voodoo Doll routine was the most entertaining of the evening.

I'll repeat what I said in another thread:
My girlfriend, stage director and two little brothers (granted none of them are virgins in the art) all wanted to know after the latest episode of Phenom: "why isn't anybody on the show doing any mentalism?" Note this was after the most recent episode, which seemed to be much more magic than mindreading. They were all pretty disappointed to see J-Cal go. D. P.S. The whole "Don't try this at home" phrase just time warps people back to the old magic shows. It's Pavlovian recklessness. I like to present a show where, at the end I can challenge people to WANT to try everything they have seen...at home, In their cars, at the office and in the hospital waiting room. |

I didn't like his last answer. He went on Montel Williams and made a good case to believe in that Brown lady Montel likes so much. Those words really go against his actions.
Everything I know about this guy I like, but that. I think he's right about Angela. She seems like an extremely sweet girl, but so far nothing about her strikes me as a mentalist. Nothing. /paul.f |
