I have some cards that are roughed but I don't need them anymore. How can I remove the stuff, so I can use them as regular cards ?

People are always trying to make their own roughed cards. Why don't you pass these along to someone else who needs them? It seems counter-intuitive to take away what makes those cards "special." You can just buy a new deck of cards for $1-2.

I didn't roughed them myself. That was done professionally because they were part of an effect (with a full deck)I don't like. So now I have a complete deck with 2 roughed cards. I can't use the deck that way, so I've to throw away the whole bunch or remove the stuff.
For Americans it is easy, you can buy Bikes at every streetcorner. In Europe that's another story...For the shipping alone you can buy 10 decks at least. Frans |

Because the "rough" is a spray on matte finish, I don't think you could remove it without destroying the cards. Best to just take them out if not needed and do effects that don't require the whole deck. There are tons of effects like this to have fun with.

Take some garbage or lunch sack type paper and rub the cards down. It may not take off the finish, but it will smooth it out.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I keep partial decks on hand for when I need a duplicate card, etc. You could do that, or as stated above, just use the deck with two cards missing. It's not likely anyone will notice that the deck is two cards short.

Frans,
suggestion above is good. Keep the treated cards - one day you might need them. Buy a second pack of bikes and use the other as a spare. Also, if only 3 or 4 cards are missing from the deck, you can use it as a practice deck. Andy

I think that would be too much trouble. It would be cheaper to just buy another deck.

Or like people said before you can sell them to someone who will use them.

Get some fanning powder and rub over the surface. It works.
