I aged some coins and like the way they look. Is there some type of coating I can preserve their look with that will not chip off?

I am not sure that I would coat the coins. That would change the handling and might make the coin look fake. I do know that one trick we used in the military is to coat some of our brass with clear fingernail polish. We even did this to the brass coasters on the bottom of chairs in our room when I was in AIT. made getting ready for inspection a little less painless. If you are going to try this on a coin, try it on one that doesn't mean that much to you to start with.

A lot of people have suggested the clear fingernail polish. I tried to find the posts for you but I must not be entering the right search words.
Don't do it on my recommendation though, because I don't really have any experience with it. I just remember this being suggested in prior threads. |

RCP - that depends on whether you also want to maintain the FEEL of the coins.
...to all the coins I've dropped here
