I need to place some loads, total size 2x2x1.5 inches, on the back of a black vinyl stand. I will be showing both sides, so I'll need to attach it sometime when I turn it back around. I will attach the load at that time and work with it from there. Problem with using velcro is that it will show. I've tried double stick tape and rubber cement, but it shines.

Not really following your problem. Why not attach it where you will be holding it and let your hand cover the load? By using a black colored load on black vinyl, you can make use of the "black art principle" and no one will see anything.
After all, your not being chased so don't try to run. No one will be looking for anything suspicious unless you make them question it. It's all in the handling. Mark. |

It will be on display and used on the "front" side, then turned later in the show. My problem is trying to attach the load as I turn the stand. In other words, the stand will be on display and certainly "clean" until I turn it around and attach the load. There is no weight to the load. I have tons of gimmicks, tubes, etc. When I perform the effect I'l need to grab and go with the load.

Maybe, you could use neodymium magnets to hold it up. A friend has used sliver magnets in some places where a larger magnet would be noticeable, in places where you wouldn't think a magnet could be.

In a similar way, if you have a vinyl surface, you can have it over a steel foundation. This way, a load that has a powerful magnet to hold it in place will adhere to the vinyl.
