For anyone that does or knows this routine, how do you deal with the revelations of the three cards, if you know this routine you will understand what I mean, I mean the thought of card is not where it is supposed to be in the three card pile, let us know your thoughts

If you follow the original routine, PIT HARTLING gives all the details on the handling, or maybe be more precise on your question please ?

Well the first card you lay down it is the peeked card, the second is supposed to be the thought of card, and third is the card unknown to the third spectator, this is how they are to be revealed but they are in 1st spec, 3rd spec, 2nd spec order

You have to switch the third card for the second card. One way is a Mexican turnover. A simple approach is to simply drop the 3rd card on the second card and then pick them up. It's easy to obscure which is which.
Check out "Tri-Easy-Thon" in Power Plays. It's a non-clocking method. Also, in the Final Thoughts, a method is given for quicker clocking and for avoiding any set up as in the original. There's no need to separate reds and blacks. Tri-Easy-Thon solves that problem. Mike

Start from third to first spectator and do the easiest second/bottom deal to the second spectator (as you only have two cards!)

I have already laid two cards on the table ...if one spectator thinks of the same card that was forced on the other, how do you handle this situation?
Best regards! |

Whenever a coincidence like this occurs you should take advantage of it to make your trick seem even more amazing (ie. act like you knew this was going to happen, and it was all part of your plan.

Hi Pyppo100,
There are many effects that can have unusual coincidences from time to time. Some magicians seem to regard these as a problem go be prevented, or recovered from. But I think they can usually be turned to your advantage. You could end up doing an effect that looks totally different from what you had planned - but if you have that flexible attitude you can occasionally perform something that seems like an absolute miracle. The important thing is you must plan for these situations, even though they only rarely occur. I wil send you a PM to explain how I would use these opportunities in Triathlon... |

I sent you the PM.
The important thing is to really think hard about your PRESENTATION in these situations to get the maximum magical effect from the circumstances. |
