I would like to know if anybody would be able to tell me who created the card trick that Copperfield dose involving the scorpion.

Hector is correct. We met him at the 2006 Escape Artist Convention. He has some pretty interesting stuff. He created the Scorpion trick and sold it to DC.

If you click the above link, there is an interview with a Spanish news agency and David Copperfield. 'Joaquin Kotkin' is mentioned by David Copperfield in that interview saying, "Joaquin Kotkin, my friend...that named himself after me..." Also, I believe that the account that the video was uploaded by belongs to Joaquin Kotkin as well.

Juaquin is awesome! He was my tour guide and translator in Mexico City, and he is so gracious and funny! Any time you are in the area of Ciudad de Mexico, you will be lucky to meet Juaquin Kotkin....
