You're a human and you know you're not alone on the earth...
Sometimes you're sad and you don't know why sometimes you're happy and you know why.
Sometimes you eat to much and sometimes you don't eat enough.

How do you know you are not doing a cold reading for an angry alien who eats a balanced diet of psychic readers?

"The Fortune Teller" is five bucks, that's almost free.

Dr. Wendy Woo's "System 44" is free, but only to highly selected individuals ... and currently out of print making existing copies VERY rare and VERY expensive!

Bev, your books should NEVER be free!

For that price you can not go wrong. Not to mention everything Alexandre puts out tends to be good material.

Cold Reading can't be learnt that quickly!

Sure, you can throw out some barnum statements, but that's not going to convince anyone.

This is what I suggest you do:

1. Buy these:

Ian Rowlands full facts
Kenton Knepper's wonder words and Wonder readings (with rex steven sykes!)series
Lee earle's gentle art
Herb dewey's red hot cold reading

2. Read these:

Ian Rowlands full facts
Kenton Knepper's wonder words and Wonder readings (with rex steven sykes!)series
Lee earle's gentle art
Herb dewey's red hot cold reading

3. Understand the methodology and psychology of it all (takes quite a while)

4. Absorb snippets of information from the multitude of books from these authors:

robert nelson
phil goldstein
richard webster
Tony corinda
good ol' bob cassidy!
Larry becker
Ormond Mcgill

(of course, because you have been practising mentalism for 7 years, these will already be on your bookshelf...)

5. Now you're ready to start practising cold reading!

Wow! that was a great post (5th post too!), but if we where judging on posts value alone, this one speaks of someone who has "7" years experience in something. Words are powerful, but so is knowledge. Thanks for posting this...maybe he will buy 1 of these and understand what all are trying to convey.

By your comment, I can tell some things about you.

You are kind of tall, but on the short side. Your hair , if you have any, is rather straight for being so curly, and rather long for someone with short hair. You think for yourself, but trust the wisdom of the crowd. You consider yourself a risktaker, but safety is important to you.

Pretty good huh.
