Every now and then I see posts asking about accounting for magic-show income, setting up your performances as a business, etc. And many of them jump right over (or aim straight toward jumping past) what you can deduct as business expenses.
Here's a list from Kiplinger url=http://www.kiplinger.com/features/archives/2007/01/taxopediaintro.html]AT THIS SITE[/url] and, if you don't "cheap out" on tax software, your tax program will probably be another good source for learning legitimate deductions. Don't assume - check. And you'll likely find that careful accounting gives you quite a break. |
