Do you sculpt your routines, or perhaps more aptly discover what they do for you, such that you use each one to convey different things to your audience?
Jeff Sheridan talks about how a routine is the vehicle to introduce, highlight, or highten an aspect of the performer you wish your audience to see. Do you get this specific with your material or has it just evolved over the years? |

In the half an hour show I do for Carnival (Actually Two different shows) my only purpose is to make them laugh and enjoy themselves. So nope, no artsy Jeff Sheridan thinkin’ goin’ on here.
Upon saying that, I do have a very magically routine placed near the begining of my act, just to show off a little talent, then right back in with the stupidity. |
