Hi to all.
I've done some search on the Café but seems there is no answer to my question. I've just found on different dealer site the prop write on the Subject. But... to tell the trouth I havn't understand from description in what this "torch" consisto of. I mean: is an appearing lit torch then it vanish? Or is only a big flame Or you "enter" on stage with an already lit torch then it disappear? Some you you have it or can explain me more? Or there is a video demo in web? Thanks a lot and happy 2008! You have a torch (on a pull so enter with it), It "mysteriously" lights itself and then "mysteriously" vanishes.

This gimmick is nice and uses a flint wheel with flash cotton to auto ignite.
The only problem is the flint can get caught as you vanish and therefore a little dangerous. Maybe you could make some costume adjustments to mke this a little smoother??? I just thought it was too risky and feel the original is still the best. Last thing people want to see is a magician on fire... unless it was valentino? :P |

If you are talking about Jim Pace's Inviso torch, I just saw one fore sale on ebay. You can probably find an example of it being used on youtube.
I use two at a time, (not lit at the same time usually), but I mount them inside my jacket, not in my sleeves, and have never had a problem. I can see how the striker might catch a sleeve, but I like the inside coat attaching because I can take one, (say I am working the audience to my left, I take that one, light for effect, release, and nothing is seen... Then I can turn to my right, do it again, and again nothing is seen. And later is necessary, I repeat or use it another way. If it runs up your sleeve, when it retracts, it is hard to get back down to use again. But it will work that way if you come out ready to light it, and then release it. BroDavid aka The Doctor
