In dreamweaver I gave all my frames a title, but when I upload them they all say untitled document, however when I just view each frame the title comes up...

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

I just had a look at a section of my site that uses frames. The page that contains the frames needs to be titled and that shows up along the top.

Does that help? Post or pm me a link to the unfinished page if you want me to do more investigating.

I just went and looked. Yeah. It's your index page that still says untitled document. One of the disadvantages of frames is the title will stay the same for whatever page you are on unless the links send you to a whole new page (rather than target=center or whatever).

You can see it if you view the source from your main page.

OK.

You have a page (index.html or whatever) that all it has on it is how big the frames should be and the name of each page the frame is on. That's the one you need to title.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<title>Untitled Document</title> (<<<<<<<<<<<LOOKY THERE)
</head>

<frameset rows="140,*,54" cols="1000*" framespacing="0" frameborder="NO" border="0">
<frame src="UntitledFrame-2.htm" name="topFrame" scrolling="NO" noresize >
<frame src="index-2.html" name="mainFrame">
<frame src="UntitledFrame-3.htm" name="bottomFrame" scrolling="NO" noresize>
</frameset>
<noframes><body>
</body></noframes>
</html>
