I have heard of some using a nest of boxes to make the ring reappear in.
What are the nest of boxes you guys are using? Thanks Mike |

When not being used in conjunction with a gumball machine or other BIG gadget, I use a "Can O'Corn".

I really like the Fantasma nest of boxes for the price.

For the price of a nest of boxes, you can also pick up Sterlini's gumball machine and have a great routine without having to pay the exhorbitant cost of other such gimmicks, like the Lumball Machine.

So true. I think the combination of (not sure which grinder you're talking about) a cartoony-looking grinder like the Wolf's Magic and then a very classy-appearing set of boxes like the Fantasma doesn't have real congruency. Like covering the steering wheel of your brand new Corvette with pink fur.

I use the Wolf Grinder with a Sterlini Gumball Machine and it is the perfect combo. I came up with a fun routine that I use as a call-back to an earlier routine in which I borrow a bill, have it signed, then I destroy it in Shredder. I really don't want to give the whole routine away, but I don't give the bill back to the guy. I do the Gumball Machine to follow my inking Finger Ring routine. I take the last ring returned back and notice a bit of dirt. I generously offer to clean it and it gets destroyed in the Grinder. I give the ring owner the glitter and a quarter "for their trouble". I bring up the Gumball Machine, the spectator puts in the quarter and gets a crappy plastic ring. I give them another quarter and they get the previously borrowed, signed bill. Then I give them a third quarter, saying "third times the charm" and they get their ring.
The routine plays very well! Marc DeSouza |

Marc,
No wonder you are where you are! You do know, I've been told you learned everything you know about magic from Lou Chanin, right? Heh heh...he's a mutual friend of ours. Steve |
