I will find out if the printer has the ability to print on leather.

Is there a printable zodiac chart for this effect that I can practise with before I buy a good one?

Many years ago, I've got the leather Zodiac chart of Christian Chelman. But anyway, if you find a printer who has the ability to print your zodiac chart on leather, I will get it for sure !

Aside from leather, this is what I have in mind
The chart could be printed on antiqued linen (or similar material). That could be sewn onto a (slightly larger) piece of heavy and strange looking fabric in order to give it substance and add to the arcane look. I suppose I could sew it onto leather if I can't find a printer. I want it to have the charm and feel of an antique Ouija board.

Any printable one online just to practice with? I can't find one of the right size. All are very small.

Niva,
If you have a copy of Christian Chelman's "Capricornian Tales" you can easily practice the effect without using a chart at all if I understand your question. Or, if you so desire, you can lay out the cards according to Chelman's pattern on a piece of newsprint (preferably a want-ad section with only printing) and use a Magic Marker to indicate the number and Sun Sign of each space above the card. I used blank newsprint (available at any art supply store) to perform the effect prior to obtaining Michael's excellent chart. It goes without saying, however, that Michael's chart takes the effect to a level of perfection far beyond this impromptu idea. I hope this helps. Andre

I like the idea of sewing the aged linen onto a piece of semi-stiff leather. I've found that the linen can easily become distorted. Not real bad but to keep the shape of my zodiac wheel I find that I have to pull and stretch it a little to get it lay right. It also is difficult to remove wrinkles in it. Perhaps a bit of spray starch will help that, I plan on trying that next. I do think that the stiffness of the leather would help to stretch the linen out just enough to make the difference. Now if I can find a sq yard of leather....hmmm...maybe something synthetic would work....

Bizarrist, I believe there is some kind of wrinkle-removing spray on the marked meant for clothing.

Wrinkles in the aged linen would not necessarily be a bad thing. It should probably be washed prior to printing.
Could it not be ironed occasionally if necessary? Andre

You are welcome Niva.
Newsprint served as a viable impromptu method for me years ago when I first read Capricornian Tales and had no access to a chart such as Michael's. Andre

Anyone heard any news re: The Zodiac Chart on leather or cloth?
I don't see it on Michael's website: http://www.illusions.ws/ Andre

Sorry, no news yet. I have had a couple of projects take priority. Really good stuff. I promise. You guys will love it.
While I have found a printer for cloth, I am still unable to locate a printer that can handle leather to my satisfaction. Just out of curiosity, has anyone found an effective application for this chart outside of the context of the Chelman routine? You may either answer here or PM me.

It appears Christian Schenk (card-shark on the Café) is now producing a deck similar to his Gypsy Deck, but the size of a regular deck of cards. It is called the Heirloom Deck and would work well with Michael's Zodiac Chart.

Beautiful Christian...
I use a Horary spread for tarot in my private consult work -- so Mike's chart is going to be the perfect "mat" on which to place my cards for readings. Truly beautiful stuff, hand crafted and gorgeous! J
