Hey, Kids -
...just another reason to love Magic! My son and I watch a LOT of instructional DVDs -- woodturning, cabinetmaking, carving, metalworking, foundry practise, forging, you name it. [Youse guys what enjoy mechanical arts would recognise the publishers' names, like Tau...] Anyway, while we both crave the info presented, there are NONE of these DVDs that are entertaining...frankly, they are mostly snooze-fests. "Boring" would be too charitable a description; they are all presented in a flat, monotone, low-energy fashion that wouldn't fly on your local public access channel. [Yeah, I know...the guys on DIY and HGTV make it look snazzy, but that stuff is fluff not intended for use by professionals to enhance their skill sets.] By contrast, MOST of the Magic DVDs I buy, whether I use the info or not, I can get through without taping my eyelids open. They're usually fun to watch, and I can only think of a few that are real Bowsers. FWIW, Leland |
