I just recently upgraded my membership of this to the Hofzinser level (at $245 per annum) and what a difference it makes compared to the basic (Charlier) membership ($95 per annum). I've discovered a whole new treasure trove of cups and balls literature drawn from a much wider range of books and magic periodicals that are available for viewing in full text pdf format using the "Ask Alexander" search engine. Mind you, this search engine can be awfully frustrating but once you get accustomed to its idiosyncracies, there's a whole lot to be discovered. I've been amazed at how many more cups and balls routines, going way, way back in time, are available for download at this upgraded level than at the basic membership level.

If you're interested in this sort of thing or simply want to expand your universe of knowledge of cups and balls generally, the extra money fcr the membership upgrade is well worth it IMHO.

This is true. Their search engine does need a bit of work, though.

Also, some of the OCR work is problematic.

I agree - this is a great resource. Sometimes searches unearth some hidden treasures.

Not so. The book was published by Atria books, a FOR PROFIT publisher with its HQ at 1130 Avenue of the Americas, New York City.

Conjuring Arts is a not for profit corporation. The authors are both members of the Conjuring Arts Research Center, which is located at 11 W. 30th St., New York City. Their publications are all published with the colophon of the Conjuring Arts Research Center.

Bill Kalush, who is a member of the board of directors, is one of the authors.

I should add that Atria is a subsidiary of Simon and Schuster.

Aren't they the ones who publish the pocket-sized Erdnase in "Bible" format?
