While rabbits in hats and zebras and even skunks are widely available, I haven't located "wild animal" designs even at the specialized sites like Rice, P & A, and Wonder Imagery and Hughes. Anyone got any more specialized silk sales sites or by any chance know where less common designs might be possible.
Thanks, Todd |

Try import stores like Pier 1.

Todd: I am a graphic designer by trade when not doing magic. I have actually developed customized silk designs for magicians as well as designed a few graphics for effects like "frankie the Snowman" put out by P and A silks. I know a few of the places now offer custom silk design and printing if you need it. meaning you can get pretty much anything designed onto a silk from artwork that you supply to them. This may be you best bet to get a custom silk design for an effect you may want to do or use in your show. I think Wonder imagry and Hughes magic both offer cutom silk printing that I am talking about.
hope this helps. Kyle

Thanks Kyle and Bob,
Frankie the Snowman is a great effect; I wish there was a great colorful warm weather blendo (on the weather theme - how about some white clouds, grey clouds (maybe umbrellas and collashes) and then a beautiful 36" rainbow in grey colors (because shirt colors need to be added and the grey clouds "blown" out of the way). Rainbows are underutilized in magic silks (only one I know if is in Colombini's St Patrick's trick). I'll try Pier 1 (great tip - thanks). If that doesn't work out, perhaps I'll look at custom printing, although that sounds pricey . . . |
