I purchased Slashed a while back. I haven't put it into my regular act because the gimmick looks like it stands out too much.
Do any of you that use it have the same problem? If you have any advice on the special part I would like to hear it. $200 for a rope trick seemed high and it doesn't seem to live up to the hype.

You gimmick stands out? How? If you are concerned by the black identifying marks simply paint them with a bit of White-Out or a touch of paint. You will really need to have the routine down cold and be able to do it blindfolded to feel secure in the handling.
I have and use Slashed and thus far have no problems with it. As soon as I knew that it was going into the show for good I bought a second one (second hand at a good price) for the time when the first gets so dirty I can’t get it clean. Yes I hand the rope out pretty much as instructed. I was a real nervous Nelly the first few times I did it but it works and is a strong segment in the routine. Now…if you really don’t like the prop or find that it is just not for you I’ll be happy to take it off your hands.

Harry, make me an offer.
The problem is not the marks, it is with a slight bevel at each end, when they are together a visible gap shows. I don't know if they are all like this or I received a bad one. In any case I could not return it.

61, you must have a bad one! Mine (two sets) are perfectly square. Did youeEmail Bob Kolar and discuss it with him. I am surprised that he would not exchange it for you. My experience is that Bob works hard on customer satisfaction.
I'd email him frist. Then you and I can talk!
