Hi,
I've read instructions on how to make an Ostin clip and have had some success with my home versions. I was just wondering what advantages John Riggs' version has over homemade versions? Does it use rubber bands still, or does it have another method? I'm not looking for exposure, just a reason to buy one when I have made a, to all intents and purposes, perfectly aceptable one (though I still wish I could hide the rubber bands!) John |

Riggs' version of the Ostin clip perfectly hides the band. I do not wish to explain how on a public forum, but rest assured that the band cannot be seen. I don't think that John sells them directly anymore. You can get them through E. Raymond Carlyle.

I think that this is a worthwhile purchase, for sure. I have at least a half dozen of these little beauties and they work great! I personally believe that anything that John Riggs touches turns to gold and I'm sure that others will agree.
As for the bands, it does not use a regular rubber band, but the bands that it does use you can buy at a dollar general store (or wal-mart) for 99 cents and have enough to last you for years. |

Thanks for that. Hopefully, the bands are available in the Uk, otherwise it's one heck of a plane journey to a dollar store

I have not been to the UK, but I can guarantee you can very easily find them there. No doubt about it.

Yes he does, and for an average of $11 too..i've ordered lots from him in the past..
the ostin clip is great, and will last pretty much a lifetime as far as I'm concerned, used it loads of times, AND you get a few spares too... and even if you go through them, you can EASILY find replacements once you've learnt the secret...
I've asked to be banned

So, I don't know why you don't go first on Carlyle website to know if he shipped worldwide or not( he does)
Sometimes I think magic forum is not good for us. People start to ask then go to search ! it's like Children who go to the school !
