I have to post-I just received a rabbit in the hat puppet from rabbitinmyhat.com, as Kyle has posted they are VERY nice, there are lots of fabric choices so they are semi customizable. I will say my order took a little longer to arrive than expected-I emailed John about this and he appologised and said he would get it out right away. When I got my Rabbit I was very impressed and emailed John with my appreciation-he looks fantastic. Come to find out John wasn't satisfied with my first rabbit so he made a second-now that's not the excuse he gave before sending the rabbit, that's what he told me when I emailed him about how great the puppet looks. That's the kind of pride in work that's hard to come by. Oh yeah he also sent a great little book Realm of the Rabbit for the delay. Once again something that didn't need to be done, but shows you just what kind of guy you're dealing with. I give both John and his rabbit my highest recommendation-you won't be sorry.

Obviously that is a personal opinion and we are all entitled to it. I use mine all the time and the colorful hat design does not distract at all in the performance. It is really all about the animation of you and the puppet and you bringing the character alive. If YOU do a good job, the kids do not see that hat at all. They see the rabbit and his crazy and funny antics ONLY.
Besides, the hats and fabrics are 100% customizable. Simply put, if you do not want loud colored pattern fabric, you do not have to have it built that way. You can have to deisgned any way you want to your specifications. each are handcrafted and they are amazing. To say they are "Absolutely terrible" is a little going overboard in my opinion. You can say they the colored patterns is not something you like and I could understand that. But the craftsmanship and choice of any fabric you want? That to me makes this a winner times two. Kyle

Hi gang,
I would like to offer our own verion of Rabbit in a hat... Animated mouth...ala Vent Puppet although he can be used in a non vent act just use the mouth to swallow sponge balls, silk, hold a stiffed rope or something The hands are poseable, which means it can either hold a magic wand or a carrot It's bigger than the standard Rabbit in a hat puppet I'll post the pictures and a short video in about two weeks. Thank much Wanlu
