Has anyone made, or had made for them, a variation on the
“Jack Gwynne Flying Carpet” gimmick? Neither of the cheaper “commercial” versions (MAK, Sultan, Abbotts) can meet my needs. I’m specifically looking for a break-apart version, which will pack flat, and is also a little “oversized” to hold a slightly larger assistant, and perhaps “float” a tad higher. I’ve used the original style of the "Jack Gwynne Suspension" for years, with great success, but would like to have this “smaller” Carpet style done. I also know Jim Sommers Illusion Book has a version, but I’m looking specifically for someone who can do the welding work well. If you’ve had experience with this construction, or have used a professional welder for the “guts” can you PM me? Thanks, Walt |

If I can't build this for you I can have my "no-bolt" assembly in a design I can turn over to my metal shop guys to weld up for you. Send me a PM or email.
Jack

I'd highly recommend Tim Clothier. He's pretty much "the man" when it comes to quality-build illusions...
