I was looking thru youtube and I saw a magi perform an effect where he produced a glass, light's it and then the glass filled with smoke where he then produced a silk. Does anyone know the name or where to get this or even how to do this myself. It's around 55 seconds into the video. Here's the site:

That's Lee Eun Gyol, I think he put that lil routine together himself... but I'm sure you can get the powder that makes the smoke when its ignited. As for the sequence, that's his own.
You can get the smoke here : http://www.theatrefx.com/store/commerce......._related |

I don't want to do the same thing he does, I know that's his own. I have an idea for it that will be my own.
Thank you for your input. Jeff

If you still have your VCR available and don't mind purchasing a tape, her is the smoke in glass effect: http://www.camirandmagic.com/vl_020.html
This is an excellent video on creating flashes and smoke in your act. "The Cabaret Act by Mehdi Talbi" The some to silk effect as on the above referenced video is not included. But it is the same smoke effect. |

I saw a UK caberet performer, I think he was called Scott Penrose, perform a silimar effect once a few years back at a Magic Circle Christmas event, it looked great. He produced(?) a cigarette and took a few deep breaths and blew towards a glass several times which was then revealed to show it had filled with smoke, and subsequently followed with silk and even dove productions from memory.
Very pretty effect, but you wouldn't get away with that in the UK anymore, what with the new smoking ban! Good luck with your hunt! |

I have the Xavier Tapies version (http://www.plasplasplas.com/shop/index.php?language=en) and love it! It's very reliable, produces thick smoke and easy to perform. Every time I've used it people gasp.
