This guy can remember everything that has ever happened in his entire life:

Airship: As a matter of fact, I can! He and his brother were at my office for hours, doing a documentary. His memory is for facts in HIS life - only. When he wrote a 25-digit number and I memorized it, forward and backward, in practically one glance, he said, "Wow; can you teach me to do that?!" In other words, except for facts in his own life (and I'm a bit suspicious about that) his memory is as good or bad as yours. Best - HARRY LORAYNE.

LOL! I knew you'd chime in on this one, Harry!
It's very interesting that you've worked with him, and that even he wants to improve his memory in some ways!

This morning I saw on swedish morning TV (Channel 4) this man: Oddbjorn By from Norway memorize a whole deck in a few minutes.

When it comes to memory work Lorayne is the man. I first read his book in the early seventies that he did with some sports person. I was amazed at what I could remember. Like a young fool I stopped practicing it.
It's only been in the past couple of years that I've gotten into his complete course and love every minute of it. To me it feels like real magic. I truly feel like I have a power when someone calls out a page from a magazine and I suddenly see a vivid picture of that page and can recall various elements from it. Harry, you are the God of Memory!!! Greg

There's a feature in New Scientist from a couple of weeks ago about a couple of people who can remember ever y single thing that has happened to them. they didn't have eidetic (photographic) memories as such, just a compulsion to "rehearse" facts and to record them. Fascinating stuff, but the compulsion was actually turning into a disability.
Interesting stuff. |

Hi Greg - I've been putting the Freestyle Book test to work over the last couple of weeks and it's been a huge hit - combined with other feats of memory it plays very well. Thanks again so much for your thinking in this area - Harry is indeed a God but you are certainly angelic!

Well, thank you Andy. It really makes my day to hear those things. I've had guys tell me their own variations on Freestyle and I marvel at everyone's ingenuity.
Thanks for the compliment. Funny thing is most of my friend's probably think I'm more devil than angel. Greg

It's a recognized phenomenon that some people have near "photographic" autobiographical memories. E.g. name a date and they can tell you what happened that day, the weather, etc. but all related to themseles. The actual mechanism of why autobiographical memory in some peoples is near "photographic" is unknown.
