I really enjoy reading Eugene Burger and Robert Neale's work but was interested in what books other folks have read with respect to improving your magical presentation.

"Transformations: Creating Magic Out of Tricks" by Larry Hass is a terrific book

Add Paul Brook's latest book 'The Alchemical Tools' to the list, great book, it is geared more towards mentalism performances but it has value for the magicians out there as well!

Hello,
The Henning NELMS is of course a must have. Aside of the presentation level, the designing level of the routines will be enlightned by A.ASCANIO in his books (especialy "The Black Days" - reptrinted soon in the volume 3 of the complete writings of ASCANIO), and "Designing Miracles" by D.ORTIZ.
Cordially,

I found John Mendoza's "Close Up Presentation" useful years ago. Don't hear it mentioned much. Beyond the books mentioned abvoe study successful films, writings, and other things that entertain you. How are they structured? What entertains you? What doesn't entertain you? Etc. Chris Carey's book's are helpful too.
