No substitute for a book or DVD, but to start you out, you can see some rare footage of Jimmy Grippo on the Merv Griffin show:

There is a book called "The Magic of Jimmy Grippo" By Jimmy Grippo collaborated by Geno Munari, copyright 1981. I am not sure how hard it is to get. You may want to check Ebay, The Martinka Auction or any other of the many used magic dealers. I have seen it from time to time, I do have it but not for sale.

The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......

Unfortunately there is not much books written on Grippo and his methods. Maybe someday his pupil Joey will write that book. Then we will all be fortunate as he was a special performer. |

I think Grippo's hair is still living in Vegas.

Be careful. Like I said, that books does not contain Grippo's secrets. It does have good photos of him so it might be worth it.

That was a treat. I remember reading about him in the Hyla Clark book so many years ago and had never seen him before. That stop trick he did with Orson was fantastic.

So what is your advice? To get The Magic of Jimmy Grippo book or to wait for some new book?
I can get it for 125$, but not sure if it is good price. |
