I have a student who has come up with a great idea using a cat, and I guess any other animal works as well.
Basically, he uses the pet in question to make it seem as though he is reading an animal's mind. My young apprentice, Don Theo III, is quite adept, but I posed him with a question that I feel I have not gotten the appropriate response for. Maybe my new friends here can help me better than he... I have a wicked lizard...he's getting pretty big these days. What kind of magic can I do with him? Just a note, he will bite your finger off and lash your eye out with his tail. But I still would like to use him for magical excellence. Any suggestions? XO

Here's an idea for you to get you started...With such a wicked iguana, you don't want to be handling the reptile during a show. Its really not a nice sight to see a magician being beaten up by his own production. So, you wanna produce the animal in a way whereby you don't have to touch him, yet make it look spectacullar. You could build or get a builder to build a custom fire cage that fits the lizard. If you know how the fire cage works, you'd get my point. If the bars of the cage pose distraction, perhaps use the same concept but use a plexiglass box instead. I'm sure it'll be cool. Better yet, talk to Thomas Clarke, he's a member here and he produces really good work. I'm sure he could get one done for you for a reasonable price. Good luck!

The suggestions above are good, but are they practical considering the temperment of the lizard?
Can you get a biting, tail whipping lizard loaded? Just loading a scorpion into a chick pan can be difficult, and they don't have all that much strength. Iguana's are very very strong beasties. How big of an iguana are you talking about? Gwyd |

I think this is a great animal to work with, & I don't think there has ever been any bad things happen with animals in performance.

This Lizard is about 13 feet long but he is very smart. I don't necessarily want to produce him, I just want him to cough up the selected card.

13 feet? I am sorry to inform you that what you have is not an Iguana.
You have a kimodo dragon. Flee the house immediately. Gwyd |

That's a very big iguana...Ur right about the loading of the lizard. I've had an iguana once, was helping some keepers take care of some lizzies from the Reptile park and I realized that Towelling the creature always helps. I've helped the keepers there catch Crocs to be transfered to a park in Indonesia and Towelling always helps...13 feet for an iguana, you could be looking at a monitor you know...

Feed him the deck...Lizards cannot metabolize the card stock...he will cough it up eventually.

13 ft. iguana? I have greens and rhinos but they don't even come close to 13 ft. I even have big water monitors, but the biggest is almost 8 ft. Are you sure it's an iguana?
