Okay, I'm not trying to be rude, but I find the teaching of a trick online to be wrong. especially on a public site that laymen visit daily. what you are doing is hurting your own magic by showing your spectators your methods. on top of that, you are hurting the magic of your fellow magicians who might use similar slights to accomplish their effects. I'm sure other members on the Café share similar views on the matter of exposure.

I consider this a flourish ace production.
I don't mean to degrade the art in any way. Just trying to show something cool that I happened to put together. Exposure is a good thing. Not everyone can afford those new hot dvds that come out every week. Just to feed greedy creators that put nothing but recycled effects. don't get me wrong there are some creators that put hard work into releasing there effects. one good example would be Justin Miller and also Aaron Fisher. But if this video offends anybody ill be more than happy to take it down. to discuss more about the exposure/effects message me |

Exposure in magic is never a good thing! No matter what the reasons are. There is always a venue to share methods amongst magicians. True there are a lot of new stuff being released that are just poor takes and re hash work of other's original materials but it's not always about "greed". We can't generalize on that. The reasons for these could either be the following:
1)Ignorance 2)Over zealousness (not a crime in my book) 3)a genuine love to share but has no proper guidance Certainly there are the "Greedy" lot... more often than not from the very lot we look up to. Its all a matter of discernment. As for the issue that "not all can afford"....No one said magic is not expensive. These are all part of matriculation. I am quite certain that you wished no harm and I actually applaud you for your production. Even flourishes should be kept within the fraternity. Its the way we are. That includes you! Thankl you for offering to put it down. I suggest you do. Thank you for sharing it with us just the same. Have a Blessed Easter! Rannie

If this is Alvin's, then he can do with it as he pleases. I think it's rather nice of him to share his creativity with the rest of us.
That being said, WHERE he does it is the true question. Alvin, Perhaps a public domain like Youtube is not the wisest of choices. Putting up the URL to the video hosted on a file upload website (like Mediafire.com) would be a better idea, so then by posting the link here, everyone can download the video so you know that only magicians are having access to your material and nobody else. Hope this helps and thanks for sharing this with us! It looks really nice! Take care, Logan

Logan also makes a good point that it is indeed Alvin's stuff. Well....I don't do much flourishes so I would not know. At any rate.... it would also be good for Alvin if he keeps the metheods of his work to himself or to fellow magicians only. TRY http://www.PUTFILE.COM OR EVEN http://www.PHOTOBUCKET.COM
