Greetings,
I'm looking for some card revelation ideas also, but didn't want to high jack the thread already in progress. This would be a revelation for a card that is not forced or known before the start of the routine, but discovered afterwards. Ideas? Thoughts? Anyone want a mint? |

Note that most are not self working.
Daryl Card Revelations (DVD) Vols 1-5 Under something. Drink, ashtray; to card box, wallet, mouth, spectator's pocket, etc, etc. Card sandwiches. Sankey's "Paperclipped" is cool. So many! Once you control and/or get hold of the card it can be discovered in many places. |

It's important to note that to a spectator, the revelation IS the magic! (Even though in most cases, for the magician the actual magic has happened much sooner in the effect.) So the more dramatic the reveal, the bigger the impression on the spectator.

I stopped at a souvenir stand on the Chesapeake Bay bridge-Tunnel a few weeks ago, and they had polished stones for sale, $2 for a drawstring bag full in all different colors, agate, quartz, etc..
I carry the bag with 13 stones in it (13 being a scary number) I have the spectator roll the stones out, and I "divine" the card from the stones. I draw this out, having them roll them from the bag the first time, getting the color the first time, being a little disappointed that I didn't get more, then having them roll bare handed and getting the suit, and finally naming the card. I fertilize this liberally with the best bull manure I can come up with, and it's pretty effective. Women especially seem to respond to this.
Woke up.

Women seem to respond to clarevoiant based effects ALOT more than men in most cases. I theorize that it's because women themselves seem to believe themselves to be mindreaders.
Think inside the box. . . it's less crowded.

Judging by my Mother and both my ex-wives, they may be right.

All of the women on the Café knew you were going to say that.
