The Encyclopedia of Mentalism and Allied Arts by Robert Nelson. 1945 first edition (second printing) 134 pages plus ads. Hard Bound $50

and

Burling Hull, The New Encyclopedic Dictionary of Mentalism, 206 pages. 8 1/2 x 11, in original loose leaf vinyl binder. Small blemish on front cover, otherwise very nice. $45

Santiago,

Though it's not called an encyclopedia...

I am sure you already have Corinda's 13 steps which is a great encyclopedia.

I would also suggest "Mind, Myth and Magic" by T.A. Waters as another very good encylcopedic reference.

Very good question!

With the break neck speed of addition and contribution to the art we are now presented with (blogs, e-books, email lists and so fourth) any true hard copy encyclopedic reference would be IMO almost impossible to compile. By the time it had gone to print a whole new section would be needed.

It would be more possible with some kind of online reference tool however even this I feel would be a challenge to large to take.

Yeah-- Remember "Foundation" by Asimov? Smile
