I thoroughly enjoyed ted lesley's section on this in paramiracles, but id be interested to hear if anyone has any other sources on the theater, plot, and performance of effects that use the center tear or any of it's cousins in the method.

On the matter of earle's dvd's - I'm well versed in method, does it provide any serious contributions on the matter of presentation?

In a word, "YES"

Also, please add Richard Osterlind's work to your growing list. His manuscript on the CT is as close to essential as one can come.

Then Dick Stride and Alan Wassilak.

Don't forget Ran Pink either.

All have different techniques, all cover presentation in differing ways as well.

Tony;

Hate to be a pain, thank you so much for your kind and considered suggestions. Could you hit me with some titles from the authors you mention? thank you so much for taking the time to help out.

Do a search on this particular detail. "Lee Earle's Center Tear Teach In". You'll find more there than any one answer from a post in this thread. There's much division in opinions on it as well.

There's a mini-essay in Richard Busch's Peek Performances. His tear is off-centre and uses index cards - though for me it works better with business cards.
