I hate to ask this question as I'm sure that it seems a bit silly, but I'll do it anyway. I really enjoy coins across type routines. I'm sure that everyone has their favorite types of plots and I find a well performed 3 Fly to be supremely enjoyable. Is anyone aware of any kind of reference that lists current coins across routines, either in writing or video, currently available? I know that this is an odd question given the constant release of new routines and changes to existing ideas, but I'm really interested in finding more routines. Coming here and asking "Hey, what's the new best VCA out there?" seems like a tedious (and annoying) way to find newer routines.
I would love to find newer items and if anyone has any info on this I would greatly appreciate it! |

As much as I hate to toot my own horn, here is a list to get you going. These are mine so here it goes...
SENCILLO available in PDF http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sOwExcbYL74 BFly from The Hand Size Doesn't Matter Lecture DVD http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z3fPib9cJ-w OTH (Ode To HOmer or 4 coins and the OTHER Filipino) coming soon http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kmzDuZu4cw4&feature=related unpublished UBSF http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=V1pikK2DfcU Please just do a search where to find it as I am not suppose to do that here. Best of luck in your search! Enjoy! Rannie PS I have to recommend the NY Coinmen DVDs. Thereis a complete volume on the coins across plot.

Go for SENCILLO. I find it to be just as good as Coin One, and slightly easier to perform. Plus it's not too expensive.

It seems like everyone who plays with the effect comes up with some minute technical variation or adjustment that they think is worthy of publication. Seriously, it's out of control. If you want to do a sleight of hand version, study the Townsend trick in Genii and the Kenner version, and just go from there (and the Kurtz handling if you're feeling frisky). If you want to go gaffed, just get the Kohler version and call it a night. |

I seem to remember a couple of years back, that Dan Watkins put out a list on the Café of the published three fly routines up until then. You can probably find it with a search.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

Welcome to the Café rem... As it's been said, there's a ton of stuff from the coins across genre and I actually think it's always been that way pretty much. No 3Fly type effect, but I did come up with my own take on coins across called, "KrazyKoinZ Across." It's in my Short Pockets download (link below). It's not hard to do and quite amazing to specs as the coins go across in some Krazy ways. It's a very interactive little routine and from reviews here, quite popular here and places around the world. Oh, and it uses 3 regular half dollars. Again welcome. -Mb
PS - And I second Rannie's "Sencillo." Wonderful routine at a great value and very well presented.

Remf3, what have you studied so far?

Thanks for all the replies! I would have answered to you all earlier but work was busy and it was hard to get some computer slacking done.
Rannie--It was watching your different performances of some of your 3Fly variations that really got me interested in the coins across plots. Thanks for the insight. ChrisSD--Do you know which issue of Genii that was in? Is there a way to get back issues? Doc--(sorry, I work in ER, all Dr's are Doc)--I'll take a look for that. Mb217--I'll take a look at that. I enjoy your version of the "Crimp Change." BTW---would the crimp change work with very small objects? Like medicine vials? Jonathan--I've been working on Winged Silver (both Bobo and Roth's DVD) and recently acquired Daryl's 3Fly III. I've also toyed a bit with Mr Clean Coins Across and have found myself having some trouble with one of the holds...my fingers seem to be a bit odd for one of the regularly used holds. I admit that my experience and study are still in the very early stages but I know that I enjoy the sleight of hand versions over the ones with a gimmick (I even exclude simple gimmicks like a [ at this point) I still feel that I'm a beginner. Thank you all again for the helpful responses! |

Hi remf3!
The Boss' coin routines are great and work great in the real world. Sencillo works great followed by OTH. The Bfly is another killer! Eric Jones also has great coins across stuff. I have the NY Coinmen dvd that tackles coins across and it is definitely a great source for routines and ideas! |

And yes the Crimp Change can work with small objects. I actually have an effect using it called "Coin-2-Key" where you can see exactly me using it with another object re-energizing an old classic. Here's a peek at it, along with some other things you can do with it. http://www.magicvideodepot.com/main/acti......gs=crimp Coin-2-Key is covered on my "Crimp Change ROUTINE" download. And as for coins across here, just spoke with Rannie recently and he mentioned how well "KrazyKoinZ Across" continues to play in the Phillipines.
