I have it, and it's very good. Highest recommendation.

Thanx Scott, based on your response (& being that you are in fact great) I will probably be ordering it shortly.

Can someone reading this post describe the effect for the Empress?
Thanks. |

This is from the Hank Lee website:"
Empress Who knows what thoughts lurk in the minds of your spectators? The Shadow knows! And he will tell you...for a price! The Empress - A professional act of mind reading by Brother Shadow. Hand out a large number of cards, all bearing different designs. Spectators shuffle the designs, then each person takes a group of them and concentrates on any one of the designs. Nothing is written down. No questions are asked. No one-ahead. The choices are made mentally and are completely free. Yet, you are immediately able to describe the design each spectator is thinking of, along with personal details about that person! Baffling and extremely clever. You will love the principle!! A Mentalist's dream come true! A professional mind-reading act, thoroughly thought out, with added psychological ploys and presentations by Kenton "Wonder Words" Knepper. Comes with a 28 page manual, detailing several routines and the special design cards." |

I have the manuscript, given to me by Bro Shadow. I have to admit,I've never performed it, but it is very clever and practical.
Understand as I review effects for various publications, there are many effects I own that I never have performed on stage from Ford |

It's a great manuscript.
I have never read it but I have a feeling that it's great. And I've always trust my feelings. Yaniv Deautsch |

Are these cards marked in any way?and is it they just think of one or do you have to see the back or somthing?

No markings, no seeing the back. It's very clever but it is an involved stage routine that needs good audience management skills. You cannot perform this closeup.

Do they ever have to touch the card,or just think and you name it?When you perform this does it feel like real magic because it sounds like it does?hehehe!

This reminds me, at least in terms of the description, of a routine marc spellmann put out on one of his dvd's where participants were seated on stage and forced to pick certain cards. dual reality principle. from what I remember spellmanns was a little messy.

Sounds a little like Mixed Emotions.

You can't do it for friends, it's a pro-show performance piece. In the right hands, it would look like real telepathy. James ps If you know what the princess card trick is, yoiu might understand a little about the method. Also similar to Paul fox's trick.

Xiqual is right on. its more like paul fox Miracle Gimmick with playing cards and the princess thing (the Empress even recall you that trick by its name) than anything like mixed emotions by Rick Maue or some old ranging force classic like the one spelmann took and used for his own trick

So is this a force?

This is turning into a fishing expedition. Buy it if you do full stage shows. If you don't have a full stage show you would be wasting your money.
You need to have 15 people to do this effect. James ps Look into the Paul Fox Miracle Gimmick, it uses the same principle. Danny Archer has a very cool take on that. He uses two decks for the cue. Incredible, that guy.
