Has anyone had experience in using the Glass Box Prediction? And, do you have to use it by sending it in advance to your spectator well prior to your performance OR can it be used on the spot for other routines?

The routine and ideas are best used as an advance prediction. The box itself can be used for anything you want.

You will want to meet with the holder of the glass box, and together, you will seal the container to make sure there's no tampering until the day of the show.

Not only does the spectator need to have it in advance, but you need to bring it to them. As stated above, you & the spectator have to seal it AND put your signatures all over it.
For the record, I love it & think it's an amazing effect. I've driven 45 minutes, each way, just to deliver it. Of course, this was last year when gas prices weren't as crazy as they are now. Getting back to the effect - after performing it, I even received a call from some Society on Remote Viewing wanting to know where I studied & if I was part of some remote viewing experiments by this certain school. They thought it was real. Then someone ended up clueing them in that I was a 'magician/mentalist' (even though I didn't bill myself as such). It is an expensive effect but I'm glad that I own it. Devon's other stuff that I own is equally terrific. Marqus |

The routine is not designed to be used on the spot. As specified by other magicians on this thread, the box has to be sealed in advance.

I did use this effect very successfully last year as publicity stunt. However, (and I know this is not advised) I did a lottery prediction. The prediction was sealed on stage at the start of the show, and at the end opened again after the live draw was broadcast on TV.
In such situations I don't think it is absolutely necessary for them to have it days in advance, however, if it is a headline prediction it is kind of obvious that it must be. Just a thought on the lottery - it is very successful on the publicity side, and I had lots of bookings flowing from that. However, it is something I did once and won't do again. I now rather do the headline prediction once in a while. |

Yes, you could do that, but, without tipping the method, it's a little more difficult to do everything yourself this way with a lottery prediction... It is possible but less practical...
